June 27 – Team 4 comes onboard

Friends Nancy and Susan came out to join team lead Sandra this morning. Their focus will be mostly on landscaping projects including trying to improve trail access from the west beach. Many boaters find the west beach more friendly as it’s sandy versus the stone-strewn landings nearest the lighthouses. Historic keepers walked these trails for family outings as reported in oral histories.

The forecast for these first time volunteers is quite nice for their stay; high 60’s and lower ’70s, unlike the high temps forecast for inland locations. And they’ll enjoy a full moon later this week.
