2020 Restoration Activities

  • Built and painted maintenance barn
  • Installed two additional pairs of shutters on the 1867 Lighthouse
  • Painted the 1867 Lighthouse lantern room and deck
  • Installed a restored screen door on the Assistant Keepers Quarters
  • Added vents to several Assistant Keeper’s Quarters basement windows
  • Dug new pit and relocated outhouse
  • Continued grounds clearing
  • Secured boathouse doors to (hopefully) protect them from high water
  • Initiated plaster stabilization in Assistant Keepers Quarters
  • Cleared historic beds around 1867 Lighthouse and moved plantings
  • Cleared historic grave site
